The Algarve is one of the most popular regions in Portugal for whale and dolphin watching in the wild. Current knowledge about cetaceans in this region is still very limited, however previous studies indicate the possible occurrence of 15 different species of cetaceans, some of which have a regular occurrence and others are only occasional.
The most frequently sighted species on our boat trips are the Common dolphin and Bottlenose dolphin, though we have some records of species like the Harbour porpoise and Minke Whale. Your skipper/ nature guide will share his knowledge about these fantastic animals while we head towards their usual feeding sites.
Join us in search of one of the most exciting marine wildlife displays and share this unique experience with your family and friends.
On this tour, keep in mind that dolphin watching can not be 100% guaranteed. These are animals on their natural habitat. However we try our very best to provide encounters with these animals always respecting the code of conduct. The itineraries of our boat trips are planned according to previous experience, previous sightings and also with constant contact via radio with professional fishermen.
