Natura Algarve aims a new concept of ecotourism in the Algarve region, promoting the spread of its historical, cultural and environmental.
No more excuses for not knowing the Ria Formosa, Costa Vicentina Algarve or inland vilages. Whether through a boat ride, a van or walking, always lead by a biologist able to give you the knowledge about places to visit, Natura Algarve has a wide range of activities to offer. The “Fishing History “, “Barrier Islands” or “Bird Watching” are examples of activities in the Ria Formosa with use of our comfortable and environmentally friendly boat.
Also departing from Olhão but navigating the deep waters of the Atlantic, we suggest you take a trip to the amazing world of dolphins. The observation of cetaceans and marine life is made in a 7.5 m RIB with a capacity for 12 passengers plus crew.
“Costa Vicentina” explores the unknown side of Costa Vicentina. Do not forget the “Eastern Algarve” or Caldeirão hills. These are programs that let you explore the interior in a unique way, coming into contact with real people and genuine traditions. A bit like stepping back on time …

He manages the company since 2007 with a degree in physical education and master’s degree in high performance sport. He is the skipper of our boat, with good knowledge of the biodynamic of the Ria Formosa and he knows well the most impressive places of Costa Vicentina. Has Emergency First Response course and is concerned with the educational nature of all activities.

During our activities we visit and share our friendship with local handcraft mans, we choose local restaurants with local products. We not only visit genuine people as well they are considered our friends and know our names and our daily life. They share with us their knowledge and also make part of our guided tours, letting you experience their job, their crafts, their fishing nets or even see their houses and taste our food.
Natura Algarve also contributes with money for the Natural Park of Ria Formosa and is starting a conservation project with cetaceans and marine life in southern coastal waters. Please have a look in our school project to known more about our environment education programs.
